What Causes Severe Stomach Ache?

My husband who is male and 63 years old has been having strong stomach pain since early today, he is not having any diarrhea or vomiting, cut is in intense pain, this has never happened before, so I am concerned, hehas taken some laxatives but that has not yet affected him I also gave him some warm herbal tea, but he is still in pain, what can this be?

There are many causes of Stomach Pain. Common are :

1. Hyperacidity/Gastritis.
2. Ulcers in stomach or Intestine.
3. Pancreatitis ( Inflammation of Pancreas )
4. Cholecystitis ( Inflammation of Gall Bladder )
5. Kidney stone
6. Inflammation of Appendix.

I need more information like

A. Exact location of Pain.
B. Nature of pain -- Burning, pricking or squeezing.
C. Is the pain continuous or intermittent.
D. Does intake of food increases pain?
E. Is his motions proper?
F. Any Urinary problems ?

Get an Ultrasound Abdomen pelvis and revert back with the scan report and the details asked .
