About a month ago I sneezed several times in a row. After the last sneeze I got a sharp stabbing pain down inside of my throat. It hurt to swallow, but I did not notice any trouble actually swallowing things, other than the pain. After a few weeks it started feeling better and the pain subsided substantially. However, today I again sneezed and the pain was back, only this time it is much worse and it is much more difficult to actually swallow things, including liquids, even though every thing still goes down. I have no allergies, am not running any kind of fever and have no other symptoms.
