My right knee on the left side gets a shooting pain when I extend my leg and push down on my heal. I tore the meniscus in the knee a couple years ago and was unable to get surgery to repair it I had a shot of Cortizone almost a year ago but I ve never had this pain before but could it be ?

Thank for posting on HCM!
Tearing knee meniscus is heal difficultly. Because it is produced mainly by osmosis, no blood vessels. No other way, you have to use a bandage tape each time you exercise more. to immobilize the knee does not make it hurt more. do not use steroids for your case. using some painkillers as piromax, celebrex ..
Hope helpful to you!
