What Causes Severe Pain In Lower Abdomen And Back?

Hi,my name is Michelle,and I m 42 years old and am experiencing pain in my lower right side just above my hip bone.I do have constipation quite a bit because of pain medication that I m on for severe lower back pain and a fusion operation done on my neck.My first concern was that it could be my appendix,but I feel that the pain would be a little further up,and the pain went away for about 12 hours and then came right back so I m a little confused.The pain is sharp and extremely achy at the same time,and then it will stop for a few minutes and then do it again.I feel a bit week and more thirsty then usual,other than that there are no other symptoms!!Does anyone have a clue what the problem might be?Oh,I have had an ovarian cyst removed off of my right ovary 16 years ago and my tubes clamped 15 years ago if that helps any!!Thanks

Hi thanks for asking question.
You have right side lower abdomen pain.
First possibility of sub acute appendicitis has to be think although there is no classical presentation of it.Do ultrasound examination to see for inflammed appendix.
Second it might be because of enteritis or ulcer in colon.Do complete blood examination and ultrasonography.
If bacterial infection sought then ornidazole or oflixacin like broad spectrum antibiotic needed.
Get your stool examined .It might reveal occult blood positive .so if parasite egg or trophozoites seen treat accordingly.Or it might be early inflammatory bowel disease , colonoscopy need for it.
Drink more water with fruits.
Take green leafy veg and cooked oatmeal is useful.
Garlic with honey could be good.
