What Causes Severe Pain In Knuckle Of Index Finger?
I woke up a few mornings ago with a sore knuckle on my pointer finger. It has gradually gotten worse every morning since. It feels bruised to the touch where my palm connects to my finger, and I can t make a fist with it, or spread my fingers completely out. I am 9 weeks pregnant and read that it could be related to pregnancy with water retention in the knuckle. Is that possible, and is there any treatment?

I would advise you to get Serum Uric acid test with CBC, ESR and RA factor or an X ray of the finger
you can take ibuprofen for pain relief
hot packs and infra red therapy will be beneficial to you
