Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that it is a case of severe
throat infection and due to inflammation and swelling there is painful mouth opening and discomfort in lifting the neck seems to be due to
swollen lymph nodes under the jaw..
Excessive salivation seems to be due to reduced swallowing as you have throat pain and when you have difficulty in swallowing you tend to feel that you have more salivation..
You can start taking a course of antibiotics like
Azithromycin or Augmentin for atleast 7 days..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Advil or Aleve..
Do warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can suck throat lozenges..
Sip on warm water throughout the day..
Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
Take a
soft diet..
You can gargle with antiseptic mouthwash as it has a drying effect in mouth and will help in relieving from excessive salivation..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
