General & Family Physician, Dr. Amarnath's Response
welcome to hcm short answer : your knee pain and swelling may be due to small tendon or ligament injury detailed answer: knee pain due to ligament and small tendon injuries are easily missed and is hard to diagnose as it is not clearly visualized in xrays. i suggest you to take MRI of your knees. and i advice to keep rest with cold application in the affected knee and elastic creep bandage application in the afffected knee to restrict movement. you can use nsaids for releiving the pain. please review with your MRI results with regards Dr.Amarnath
