What Causes Severe Pain And Infection After The Root Canal Treatment?

I had a root canal for the 2nd time in 4 years about 2 months ago(back bottom molar). About 6 months prior to the 2nd root canal I had been experiencing twinges and aches. I had an xray and it showed an infection. So, I went through another root canal. After my first visit I had the worst pain I have probably ever had in my life for 2-3 days. After the 2nd an final procedure (& 2 rounds of antibiotics) it began to feel better. Then 3 weeks later it began to ache again so I went back and part of the filling had fallen out. I did not have a crown put on right away because the dentist wanted me to wait a month to make sure the infection healed. So, he replaced the filling, put me on another antibiotic and sent me home. I have finished taking the medicine and my tooth still aches every once in a while. Especially when I exercise at all. I am very frustrated and feel like getting it pulled. Obviously I still have an infection. Should I try another round of antibiotics? Do I need a retreatment again? My teeth on the bottom are a little crowded to if I do get it pulled (I really don t want a bride or implant) I thought maybe they would be ok with that tooth gone? I appreciated any advice. Thank you.

Read your query as you have undergone re -rct now still you have infection in tooth causing pain for this I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon and go for irrigation and medicament placed in canal in interval of one week or if there is furcation involvement or bone loss then you should go for extraction and after that you can go for implant or bridge .
