What Causes Severe Neck Pain And Eye Pain?

I have herpys , on my butt cheeks. When i brake out my skin on my legs seems to hurt. Yesterday my neck hurts and today putting on make up around my eye seems to hurt. Now i think a little bump is showing up on my under eye lid. If it is a brake out what do i do?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

As per your query you have severe neck pain and eye pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like temporomandibular problem , stress and anxiety , localize change in blood pressure , impacted tooth , TMJ problem , cervical spondylosis and infection in ear .

I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and rule out problem like sinusitis . Doctor may order tests like CT scan , vitals , examination with otoscope and rule out TMJ or impacted tooth problems . Doctor may prescribe supplement like ginkgo biloba , anti inflammatory , antibiotics ( gentamicin ) or may refer you to dentist in case of TMJ or impacted tooth problem .

For now apply dry warm compress to TMJ and ear , drink green tea thrice a day and try to make yourself relax . Mind relaxing exercises like meditation and yoga will be very helpful along with physical therapy of TMJ. Doctor may also refer you to ophthalmologist for eye problem .
