What Causes Severe Lower Back Pain After An Injury?

I slipped on a wet step last week (6 days ago) and hit my lower back on the hard edge of the upper skate step. I was able to get up and walk around, bend down and have no visible bruising. I am fine walking down steps but have slight pain I the right rear back area. I have been taking Advil at night but a pretty good during the day. It hurts somewhat when I sit for awhile. Should I just expect it to take awhile for the pain to abate?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the pain that you have is due to fall injury then it has to be investigated for any fracture part and soft tissue inflammation till then it can be managed with Tab Ibuprofen with taking care of right posture and proper mobility hope this information helps.
