What Causes Severe Knee Joint Pain?

dr i am having severe knee joint pain for the past 4 months. i stopped my walking from that day. now i consulted a ortho & he gave me the cartiso injection & prescribed cartigen with some other medicine. now i am taking cartigen 1500 for this da. now i wani to know shall i contiue this for how many months or days. now the pain is bearable. pl advice me dr.

I appreciate your concern for the severe knee joint pain.
Incomplete data: Age, gender, body weight, any trauma.

It may be due to osteoarthritis.
Take these medications for at least 3-4 months.
Usually Inj Hydrocortisone is injected into the joint if oral medicines like Acetaminophen or NSAID do not reduce the pain. Inj Hydrocortisone is given once in 3-4 months for a single joint,
Do regular exercise, if obese reduce your body weight, and if you get some pain take Acetaminophen which is very effective in osteoarthritis.
