What Causes Severe Itching And Irritated Skin Around The Heels?

I have severe itching in the skin surrounding my heels...not on the sole of my foot, but beneath the ankle bone. I wake up with red irritated skin where I scratch, but no rash or whelps. My feet are always ice cold. I have marks on my legs and arms from scratching in the night. No bites, no rash, just places I have scratched

Hello.My name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.You may have what is called athlets foot or in medical terms tinea pedis.It is a fungal infection.So you should:
-practise good hygene
-wear the right shoes that are not to tiny and woth breatheble material such as leather.
-use lokal treatment for example miconazole
terbinafine,clotrimazole.Aply the cream in the area.If it gets worse consult a dermatologist.
