My Dear
Welcome to this website!
I have taken your details into consideration. To me it appears that you are having chronic
eczema of the feet. This typically affects the upper surface of the feet and is quite itchy and runs a long course with several ups and downs.
In some cases, the chronic rubbing leads damage to skin causing it to lose color especially in the central areas.
Generally, this condition should be treated with mild
steroid preparations applied locally, along with anti allergics, and avoidance of triggering factors. triggering factors like certain kind of footwear material or exposure to irritant substances varies from person to person.
In my patients, i avoid using
Clobetasol which is a potent steroid available as Lobate or certain other brand names and also one needs to apply same caution with Fluocinolone or
Flucort as these tend to cause skin thinning which leads to reduced capacity of skin to recover. to my patients, I suggest using emollients which is a class of drugs that from protective layer and to keep their skin soft.
I am sure you will take advantage of these facts and proceed in a calculated manner as an informed patient for maximal benefit.
Best wishes.
