What Causes Severe Headaches With Anxiety And Stress?
I have been getting some paralyzing headaches to the middle of my forehead and just above my eyebrow. If I touch this area it intensifies. I am wondering if I need to make an appointment with my doctor? This is the 4th week and they seem to be getting more painful. I guess my main concern is a stroke..... I just turned 31 and my health is good. I have been having anxiety and heavy stress over the last few years. I don't have high blood pressure the last I knew. Please help Thanks Matt Z.

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Praveen G's Response
Hello, Welcome to HCM As you are having anxiety and heavy stress, you are most probably suffering from tension-type headaches. It account for nearly 90% of all headaches. Tension-type headaches is most commonly precipitated by stress,Sleep deprivation and irregular meal time (hunger). As you are healthy and not an hypertensive, nothing to worry about stroke. I would recommend you to take paracetamol/ibuprofen combination drug. If these symptoms exacerbate, consult a neurologist. Thank you.
