What Causes Severe Headaches With Anxiety And Stress?

I have been getting some paralyzing headaches to the middle of my forehead and just above my eyebrow. If I touch this area it intensifies. I am wondering if I need to make an appointment with my doctor? This is the 4th week and they seem to be getting more painful. I guess my main concern is a stroke..... I just turned 31 and my health is good. I have been having anxiety and heavy stress over the last few years. I don't have high blood pressure the last I knew. Please help
Thanks Matt Z.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM
As you are having anxiety and heavy stress, you are most probably suffering from tension-type headaches.
It account for nearly 90% of all headaches.
Tension-type headaches is most commonly precipitated by stress,Sleep deprivation and irregular meal time (hunger).
As you are healthy and not an hypertensive, nothing to worry about stroke.
I would recommend you to take paracetamol/ibuprofen combination drug.
If these symptoms exacerbate, consult a neurologist.
Thank you.
