What Causes Severe Headache With Profuse Sweating?

On Friday I experienced a sudden, severe headache (felt like a vise encircling my head at temple level) followed by profuse sweating, nausea, being shaky and hard to breath. After half an hour, I settled down and went home. After vomiting at home and eventually taking Advil, the headache subsided but continued until the next day. The nausea lasted until Sunday. I suffer from migraines but this was nothing like a normal migraine....it felt like my head was going to explode. What could possibly be the cause for the extreme symptoms. Thank you for your help.

Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering
Unfortunately migraine attacks to those patient which has been suffered for a long time can change their intensity during time or can be overlapped from other primary headaches
As you haven't any other neurological symptoms I don't think you have reason to worry too much
Anyway that episode needs examinations to permanently rule out any brain damage
That can be done by scheduling a neurological examination and maybe scheduling a brain MRI
In my opinion it was just a migraine attack but better be careful, schedule those examinations I mentioned
Hope my answer will help you and calm you
Best regards
