What Causes Severe Headache, Sore Throat And Post Nasal Drip?
Hi, my name is Becky. Yesterday I had an extremely bad headache, one like I have never had. It finally went away after taking 2 ibuprofen. Today, I woke up feeling fine but with a bit of a sore throat and post nasal drip. Later on, I started feeling nausea and I ended up dry heaving a while ago. I felt better after dry heaving but now am starting to feel nauseous again. I have taken 2 tums and DayQuil and am not sure what else to do.
According to your symptoms, I think is just a viral (FLU) situation that some times associated with nausea feeling and this could extend for 3-4 days. You should continue to take some anti flu medication, throat disinfectant and anti vomiting medication (metoclopramide, ore domperidon). If this situation continue for more than 4-5 days with fever you need to meet a doctor.
I hope my answer help you. I will be happy to assist if you have further questions. I wish you a quick recovery.
Regards, Dr. Monika Dede
