What Causes Severe Fatigue, Body Chills And Frequent Urge To Urinate?

My husband came home last night from a business trip with severe fatigue and chills. He has not been able to get out of bed today and counties to have the chills with frequent and uncontrollable urge to urinate. He does not have a fever or pain or nausea. He has been drinking alcohol quite a bit for the last 10 days, not sure if this is related.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe fatigue, body chills and frequent urge to urinate . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query urinary tract infection (UTI) , viral syndrome , diabetes, type 2 , lyme disease or anxiety disorder . I would suggest you to consult urologist for proper examination . Doctor may order urine test , ultrasound and CT scan to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ciprofloxacin or trimethoprim along with anti inflammatory and anti pyretic . Doctor may also refer you to endocrinologist for diabetes . For now take paracetamol for chill and discomfort .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
