What Causes Severe Facial Acne Despite Using Cetaphil Wash?

Hi I am 27 yrs old. I had used tone and glow face wash few months back as per recommended by my dermatologist. I got an E2 Fraction done 2 months back. So I had stopped using tone and glow as the doc suggested me not to. And advised me to use cetaphil face wash. Have been using that for a while. Lately, may be since 2-3 weeks I have been having a lot of acne's on my face. So I started using neutrogena face wash which is for acne prone skin but then my face turns really dry and have a slight burning sensation around my mouth, cheeks and chin areas and flakes started appearing on my face. I use a cetaphil moisturising cream after washing my face but it doesn't help either. The condition is getting worse everyday. Please suggest me a solution to get out of this.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe facial acne despite using Cetaphil wash . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like oily skin , skin infection , side effects of some medicine and allergic reaction . In case of oily skin , oil ,dead skin and bacteria get entrapped in sebaceous pores and cause infection and form acne . I would suggest you to wash your face with face wash containing benzoyl peroxide twice a day and then apply cream containing azelaic acid twice a day after washing face . Exfoliate your skin once aweek to remove the dead skin . Keep your face dust free and prevent it from excessive sun exposure . If condition doesn't get well in a month then consult dermatologits for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically and order blood tests . Doctor may prescribe retinoids , antibiotics ( clindamycin ) or isoteritenoin .
