What Causes Severe Ear Pain And Hearing Loss?

So my ear started hurting badly last night and I couldn't sleep on it. This morning it was worse. If I blink to hard or open my mouth to wide it pops. I tried putting hydrogen peroxide in it and all that did was make it worse and now I can hardly hear out of it. What can I do ?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have infection in ears leading to severe pain and there can be fluid accumulation behind the ear drum leading to popping and loss of hearing..
I would suggest to to avoid putting anything inside the ear and consult an Otolaryngologist and get thoroughly evaluated along with an Otoscopic examination of ears to rule out the exact cause of pain..
In case if there is infection you will be advised to take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin or Clindamycin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Motrin or Aleve, decongestant like Psudoephadrine and antibiotic ear drops..
Nasal decongestants can also be advised..
You should also avoid picking of the ears as well as water exposure like swimming..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
