What Causes Severe Dizziness And Tinnitus After Treating Cold?
A year ago, I had a very bad cold and whooshing in my ear. About a week after the cold was gone, I started feeling dizzy and was sick for about a day or 2. I went to the PCP and he put me on a steroid. It help for a little bit, but now it is back and when I bend my head certain ways I always hear the whooshing and I have the dizziness. Can you help?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have problem of severe dizziness and tinnitus after treating cold, Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like localize change in blood pressure, infection in ear and persistence of infection. Need not to worry.I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order tests like CT scan , vitals , examination with otoscope and rule out TMJ or impacted tooth problems . Doctor may prescribe supplement like ginkgo biloba , anti inflammatory , antibiotics ( gentamicin ) or may refer you to dentist in caseof TMJ or impacted tooth problem . For now apply dry warm compress to TMJ and ear , drink green tea thrice a day and try to make yourself relax .
