What Causes Severe Cramps In Lower Arm, Wrist And Fingers?
lower arms, wrist and fingers develop a severe cramp like feeling. Fingers feel like needles sticking in the tips. This comes on over a period of thirty minutes to one hour, usually in the early evening. It progressively gets worse as evening wears on and becomes a hinderance to sleep. Being worn out by 3:30 or so, sleep comes. Sleeping until 10:00 or so, the symptoms seems to abate to some degree and improve during the day. The right side developed this about 3 days ago but is fine now. The left side started acting up last evening and is still hurting.
Hi. Noted your history of cramp like feeling in the lower arms, wrists and fingers which progress in the evening. Worn out by 3:30 pm or so and you sleep up to 10 p, sleep eases the pain, was in the right side which is OK now but now developed on the left side. All the history so nicely put by you is suggestive of some problems in the cervical spine. I would advise you the following: MRI of the cervical spine and to also watch for thoracic outlet syndrome. Clinical evaluation by a Surgeon for clinical diagnosis and to be supported by the relevant investigations so that the proper treatment can be planned.
