Hi! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

Having periods started after menopause needs to be investigated in detail. If I were your doctor, I would advise you for a complete blood count, a serum HCG, and an ultrasound abdomen to rule out any pelvic pathology. Apart from all the investigations, you ofcourse need to be examined by a gynaecologist clinically to arrive at a diagnosis after any further related investigations as advised by her. Till then you could go for an anti inflammatory drug along with a proton pump inhibitor for a symptomatic relief.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef
