Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
IgE is marker of allergy. And you are having IgE level 1499. This is considered as very high.
So possibility of allergy is more in your case.
You are also having constant, severe cough. So we should first rule out asthma in your case.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT is must for the diagnosis of asthma. It will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of asthma is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). Oral combination of antihistamine and anti allergic drugs are also indicated in your case.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
