i have been coughing extremely after I had my tonsils removed (by the way its been a month or two after the operation) and the cough has been around for a few weeks, im not sick from anything because I havn t gotten anyone sick but the cough is there so I think its the sugery and I also have a blocked nose.
Although i have not examined you , i still feel that your cough is not due to your surgery , rather you maybe having a sinus problem , which is causing a post nasal drip and cough and also causing your nose block. Please meet your ent doctor , he will examine you and confirm this. Once the sinus is treated , your cough will disappear!
Take care
