I'm a 17 year old female and have been having extremely painful, throbbing chest pains. The pain from my chest, then shoots down into my middle finger on my right hand. The pain in my finger is just as strong as the pain in my chest, throbbing at exactly the same time. These "episodes" usually happen everyday at least once and last about 20 seconds. I have no other medical or health issues. Thank you so much for your time! :)
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Throbbing chest pain in teenager should always be evaluated for heart diseases. So get done ecg, 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test). If all these are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases. Sometimes stress and tension can also cause similar symptoms. So consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution. You may need anxiolytic drugs too. Don't worry, you will be alright. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
