What Causes Severe Chest Pain After Consuming Alcohol?
My heart has been hurting it usually does this the day after I have drank alcohol and sometimes last for a couple of days off and on I m 30 years old and the pain is in my heart and off to the side it has a burning sensation I go for long walks to help with the anxiety that I get it helps with the anxiety but my heart still hurts the pain doesn t get worse just stays about the same I ve also notice that is doesn t hurt in the morning on day two but starts hurting sometimes after eating I take anti acid for stomach acid could this be GERD of something more serious?
The pain you have described appears to be due to alcohol induced irritation and damage of the lining of food pipe. GERD is similar and involves irritation of the lining of food pipe by the acid reflux from stomach. It can be relieved by antacids and sucralfate which form a protective coating on the mucosal lining. But the best solution would be to stop alcohol altogether.
Best wishes.
