U are suffering from obstetric cholestasis, a disorder in pregnancy in which liver enzymes get derranged, it results in itching all over the body, ur treatment advised is ok, u can also take tab. cetrizine twice a day to reduce itching plus apply calamine lotion on body, take more of carbohydrates and sugars , if u r not diabetic and less of spicy fatty food. It has somerisk of still birth, but if u are on monitoring, taking treatment and getting usg after 3-4 weeks, then no need to worry.
