What Causes Severe Acne And Rashes On The Face?

Hello doctor, My name is Omar aged 20. I live in a very humid climate in Africa and have suffered from acne for a long time until I recently cleared it with benzoyl peroxide. However i recently got this horrible rash on my face and ears which is itchy and irritating. I tried hydrocortisone but it s not working. Please help me find a solution to my problem .

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the rash on face along with itching and irritation of ears seems to be due to allergic reaction that can be due to causes like allergic reaction to Benzoyl peroxide while can also be due to allergic reaction or side effect to any other skin cosmetic while can also be due to any food or medication..
It is however most probably due to any skin cosmetic.

You should not apply steroids like Hydrocortisone without consulting a Dermatologist as at times the benefits may be lesser than side effects.

I would suggest you to first of all stop applying anything on face that includes any skin cosmetic or makeup..
You should take anti allergics like Allegra or Levocetrizine as it will help in reducing itching and inflammation..
You should do cool compresses over the face and also splash cool water on face to reduce inflammation and rashes..
You can apply cooled aloevera gel over the face..

In case if there is still no improvement consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated..
