My wife has had terrible reflux post roun y in 2005. She has extreme nausia that comes and goes but has no cause and effect. She has aspirated into her lungs four times the worst was a 10 day hospital stay with pneumonuia and she was critical. She had back pain and severe bile reflux prior to a nissen in 1987, with the nissen solving both sympoms. She had a roun y in 2005 and they took down the nissen. She has had reflux problems and an immediate return of the same backpain since. There have been no meds that have helped and it is at the point she has a terrible quality of life. This is not what we planned as empty nesters in our mid 50 s. She has had lots of tests at Barnes in St Louis and Mayo both have yet to see anything that is causing this and we have yet to find a solution. Is she a candidate for the LINX Reflux Management System, the Esophy Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication or the Stretta Procedure? Are there any doctors that specialize in cases like my wifes? She can t be the only one that has ssuffered with this. What should we do next, what Dr. or hospital should we proceed with next. PLEASE HELP!
