What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain In A Woman With Ovarian Cysts?

I have an ovarian cyst on my right ovary... why do I hurt just as bad.. if not worse on the left side... and I have recently put on I dont know how much weight....in what seems over night... I have been a size 5 since high school.have had 3 children...which are all grown now...

Hi.

You can speak to your gynaecologist to help initiate medication to help suppress the cysts or at the least help control your cycle a little so we can avoid the pain. But as you seem like you have completed your family already, you are not far from menopause which will also bring a reduction in hormone levels (which the ovarian cyst feeds on), and will eventually reduce the pain completely. But there is time for that, so speak to your doctor.
