What Causes Sensitivity To Cold Dry Skin Along With Frequent Urination?

Yes my daughter is 26 yrs old. Her family history maternal grandmother and all of the women in her family have had thyroid conditions. All her symptoms point to that. Sensitivity to cold dry skin on the scalp that bleeds, hunger, anxious, nervous. heavy bleeding. feeling she needs to urinate all the time, urgency to have a bowel movement and others. She has had blood work but it shows its fine. I myself have a thyroid problem I had a nodule and take a very low dose of snythroid. But my blood levels have always been ok. Her aunt has Graves and cousin and horoshuma (sorry for the spelling} diesease.

Hi dear user
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern

Some symptoms of your daughter(sensitivity to cold, feeling hungry, heavy bleeding and dry skin)can be symptoms of low thyroid function or hypothyroidism.

At the other side feeling anxious and nervous and the urgency to have bowel movements can be attributed to hyperthyroidism.

Your daughter have a history family of autoimune thyroid diseases(Morbus Graves or Hashimoto's diseases),so,it is probable that she can have a autoimune thyroid condition.

My advice is to talk with your doctor about her symptoms and to repeat the thyroid function test and a thyroid ultrasound t to see the thyroid structure.
These tests will give the answer if your daughter's symptoms can be related to any thyroid condition and if this is true, other tests like thyroid autoanticorps will be necessary for the right diadnose.

Hope I have clarified your doubts. If you have any further queries, please feel free to ask. I would be happy to help.
Best regards.
