What Causes Seizures After Taking Valium For Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Okay my uncle is 69 years old and took Valium for 30 years . He has rheumatoid arthritis in all of his joints all way down one side and at the other, it is in remission though ... But takes pain pills for that which is why va took him off Valium . He has been having small seizures every since they took him off the Valium. Yesterday he was sitting on the porch fell off woke up with blood all over his head and had a major seizure and went to the Emergency room . Do you think these seizures or as he feels that they are from not taking the Valium any longer or the long-term effects from the Valium ? Scared for him what does it sound like to you ? Thank You

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this the Benzodiazepine is the pain concern then it is better to see the de-addiction center for this without this it would be difficult to get him out of the drug, as long as the seizure is concern and what the history is given it may not be pure seizure still clinical examination would be the last judge hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
