Hi..
Thanks for the query..
As per your elaboration of symptoms it seems you may be suffering from
Tonsillar inflammation called
Tonsillitis which causes
sore throat, enlarged tonsils, pain and difficulty in swallowing..
It can be bacterial or viral in nature..
I would advise you to QUIT
SMOKING atleast till your problem is not solved..
Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day..
Avoid very hot and spicy food..
Take soft and cold food items..
If pain and discomfort is there painkillers like CALPOL OR
IBUPROFEN (if not allergic) can be helpful to relieve pain and inflammation..
Taking luke warm milk with a pinch of cinnamon and turmeric can help in faster healing..
Keep yourself well hydrated..
If still the problem is not solved or the confition worsen going to a doctor becomes mandatory..
BUT AVOIDING SMOKING IS MUST..
Hope you get well soon..
Thanks and regards..
