What Causes Sciatica Nerve Pain In The Hip Radiating To The Foot?

I have been having trouble with my sciatic nerve pain in my hip buttic down leg into foot with a burning sensation tingling it is hurts when sitting, walking standing an even when lying down. I find myself shaking my legs it seems to help a little until I stop. I had a MRI 5 yrs ago that showed I have a Tarlov cyst can this be contributing to my problems.. Need help

Hi,
Your pain seems typical of a nerve root irritation pain caused by pressure on the nerve in the spinal canal most probably by this Tarlov cyst.But your MRI is now 5 years and you need to get a new one which will tell you the present situation. If its still the Tarlov cyst which is the problem then you will need, appropriate pain medication which will include drugs like Neurontin, Lyrica etc,physical therapy like TENS. Surgery for this is generally not helpful however sterold injections to shrink the cyst and this will need to be discussed with your doctor. Regards and hope you get better soon
