What Causes Salt Taste On Tongue?

I have a friend in her mid 70's who has a constant salt taste on her tongue. This has cause her great anxiety affecting her eating and social interaction. She has been evaluated dentally and has had blood tests but did not know which tests they were. Her blood pressure as well as the aforementioned tests are normal. Do you have any direction to send this dear woman?
