I ve got moderately severe levoconvex rotoscoliosis, advanced degenerative disease of multiple elements with combined spinal stenosis L4-L5, & borderline canal at other levels. Multilevel lumbar spinous process hypertrophy, impingements & interspinous pseudojoint formations suggest possible Baastrup s syndrome. I m in almost constant pain. I knew I had arthritis of my entire spine but was surprised today when I got my lumbar CT results back & found out I have rotoscoliosis. I had lumbar x-rays 2-3 yrs. ago with no mention of this. I am 59 yrs. old & thought scoliosis was something that happened to young (teenaged) people. Could this have occurred in the last few years? I know you don t have the CT scan at your disposal but could you give me some sort of prognosis/outlook for the future? Thanks!!
