53 yr old female. Last 3 weeks I have been having pain in the right side upper chest area, behind the right breast and toward the side below the armpit, sometimes aching also in the back just under the shoulder blade. Can t lay with much pressure on the right chest side and when sitting down then leaning forward to stand up it becomes extremely painful at times. I know I have small gallstones, could this be caused by the stones and gallbladder?
You are having right sided chest pain and gall stone history. Abdominal pain can referred to chest and pain can occur from gall stone induced For gall stone udiliv can be prescribed. And if gall stone causing repeated problem and pain then gall bladder should be removed. Pain could be muscular if not related to gall stone. For that rest is needed and hot compress is beneficial.
If needed ibuprofen prescribed for that. Avoid strenuous work and heavy exercise. Your chest x ray should be done as pain is since long time. Consult a physician for examination and auscultation and accordingly work up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
