What Causes Red,raised, Swollen Itchy Marks And Lump On Nipple?

hello, I noticed my 10 year old had a ring worm like rash on her left shoulder blade about a week ago which I began treating with thuja ointment. On friday she had a sleep over at a friends, and on sunday I noticed her torso was covered with red, raised, swollen itchy marks. Today I noticed that her left nipple was red and a firm pea size lump was sitting behind it. Are these all related or is the breast lump the beginning of puberty?? She has no pubic hair anywhere. Thanks

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi....with history of sleeping at a friends place and with itchy rash, I would first think about insect bite allergy or bed bug related rash, rather than pubertal changes. The small bud behind nipple could be puberty related, but not the rash.

I suggest you consult her pediatrician regarding this.

Regards - Dr. Sumanth
