Sent my 18 yr. old daughter to the eye doctor yesterday, has been complaining of pain in the left eye with movement. Was starting to look visibly red and swollen. He checked the general health of her eye and said they looked healthy and gave her some drops daily for the swelling. Day two-- today... eye is considerably more inflamed, very painful with movement, reports see a black dot when she looks to the left. Thoughts on what to do next? We have scheduled a return trip, but uncertain if he will be able to help find the cause... it s been going on for just under a week.
The eye has been checked only. He should have checked every thing what was necessary for the problem. With your history it appears to be bacterial conjunctivitis. Antibiotic eye drop and oral analgesic like Combiflam can be taken. Clean the eye with sterile swab. PU on a dark glass. You can complete the journey. after your journey get her checked by eye doctor.
