What Causes Redness Of Eye And Light Sensitivity?

Yesterday my Eye was beat red, almost looked like i popped a blood vessel due to the amount of red, any form of light would send a shooting pain through it until my eyes adjusted ultimately it ended up giving me a headache, no itchiness or crust so I ruled out pink eye. I used pink eye drops 2 in each eye before I went to bed & it seems better today, the eye is pink & less painful to light sensitivity but it also feels very sore & swollen.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having redness of the eye and sensitivity to light.
This indicates probable involvement of the cornea in the form of keratitis or inflammations of the eye like uveitis.
This requires treatment by the use of anti-inflammatory drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
