What Causes Redness In The Eyes Of 18 Month Old?

HI my 18 month old daughter has red eyes for 4 days, they are not overly red so I don' think it is pink eye, however she is rubbing them as if they itch, it started with one eye and now appears to be both, thus far she has had no other symptoms and is eating, drinking and playing as normal

HI...by what you quote I feel that she might be having a viral conjunctivitis. Usually it will start in one eye and the spread to another. Sometimes it can get secondarily infected with bacterial infection and hence might need antibiotic eye drops. I suggest you consult your opthalmlogist because - EYE conditions are best diagnosed only after seeing directly. I suggest you to upload photographs of the same on this website, so that I can guide you scientifically.
