What Causes Redness In Bottom Gums?

My bottom gums are normal around the teeth but more toward the bottom they are a far
Darker red. I have no pain or sores or anything. Just wondering if I should be worried. The other day I had a little trauma to be mouth, nothing serious but it hurt when it happened. I also smoke but I don't normally bleed when I brush and no pain.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain if you do not have any pain or any other problems like sores or bleeding etc, you need not to worry as the gums and all other parts of mouth and face has a profuse blood supply and at time there can be dark red appearrence of gums because of it which is normal..

But in case if you are a smoker, many a times smokers tend to have less severe symptoms as compared to the gum disease they have and the gum diseases are detected at a later stage when extensive damage already has happened..

Do not worry and for a final confirmation you can consult a dentist and get clinical evaluation done..

You can also ask a direct question along with images of your gums by visiting my profile and clicking on ask me a question for a more detailed answer..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
