What Causes Redness And Swelling On The Arms, Legs And Back?

On vacation and we believe my friend has had an allergic reaction to food yesterday . She had a lot of what we thought were bug bites but no one else had a bite. She ate a lobster roll and we think it could be the problem. The areas on her arms, legs, hands, feet and back are red and swollen. They are also warm to the touch. Today we got more benedryl itch cooling spray and the regular benedryl. Wondering if we should be doing something else. Currently on Martha s Vineyard so no Urgent Care clinics.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM.
It looks like allergic reaction and she should see doctor urgently especially if there are breathing difficulties and dizziness. This may be food allergy or some other allergen, but in this case it is improtant that she gets antiallergic therapy and later she can have allergic tests.
I hope I ve answered your query.
WIsh you good health. Regards
