What Causes Redness And Itchy Rashes All Over Body?
Whenever I come in my room, its kinda cold and for some reason i get red patches that come with an itchy rash, in random places in my body. Why is this happening ? I went to go eat at a resturant and it went away but when i came back in my room i started getting them again.
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I will suggest a possibility of cholinergic urticaria/ hives i.e urticaria appearing in response to changes in core body temperature. Various stimuli that might trigger an episode of cholinergic urticaria are sudden changes in ambient temperature, strong emotions, exercising, spicy food, hot shower etc. These stimuli induces release of histamine from circulating mast cells manifesting as hives. It is a type of chronic urticaria and treatment is symptomatic i.e once daily Oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily apart from avoidance of triggering factors. Topically you may use a soothing lotion e.g calamine.
