What Causes Red Rashes On The Feet And Legs?

I have a rash of red spots on my feet and legs. Two days ago (when I was also battling flu symtoms of fever, aches, fatigue) I noticed a few spots on my feet. Yesterday, I noticed my lower legs were covered with small painless flat red spots. Today there are small spots on my upper legs and many of the spots on my lower legs and feet have become up to quarter-size and are burning. I applied hydrocortisone cream, which helped with the burning. (I have no flu symptoms today) What do you think this might be and how should I care for it?

Hi.
As per your case history you may have either viral exanthem or purpuric rash.
My Treatment advice-
1. Dont worry its not a major skin disorder.
2. Dont apply hydro-cortisone cream, instead use a calamine lotion.
3. Take vitamin-C 500mg once daily.

Spots will disappear in 10-15days.

Thanks.
