What Causes Red Rashes On Arms, Neck And Back?

My daughter has a rash on her arms, neck, back that is red and raised with what looks like little pimples. She said that they do not itch much but most hurt to the touch. We went to a motel recently and she went to a friends house with animals. The animals were itching themselves frequently. Do you have any idea? It just showed up today.

Welcome to health care magic,

This mild itchy rashes over skin of arms,neck or back could be due to eczema or allergic hives etc.

But they need to be checked by the doctor at least once to come at a certain conclusion.

So,the important thing is to diagnose first rather than treatment.

You can go to skin specialist or some local doctor for detailed history of this rashes and inspection to have a clear diagnosis.

However,You might require topical corticosteroid like beclomethasone, clobetasol or mometasome with antifungal cream like miconazole or itraconazole with antihistamines orally to reduce itching and redness .

Some time oral antifungal once dosage with prednisolone are also effective.
