So my friend recently got what looked to be pink eye, she said it was not that and she is used to experiencing styes. I recommended an over the counter ointment. It cleared up, however she woke up the next day with both her eyes red, puffy and swollen shut.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have swollen eye . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like allergies , conjunctivitis , styes and chalazion . I would suggest you to wash your eyes with normal water and apply cold compresses on them , avoid any cosmetic product on face and avoid food like nuts and sea food . Also take antihistamine like benadryl twice a day . If condition persist for 1-2 days then consult opthalmologist for proper chechup .Doctor may also prescribe corticosteroid eye drops or may also check intaoccular pressure .Doctor may prescribe eye drops containing anti allergic , anti bacterial or anti viral . Doctor may also examine your eyes for some foreign body and remove it .
