Hello. For the past few days my daughter has had red splotches/parches on her skin. It started with the top of her feet and knees and the second day only on her knees. I gave her Benadryl and Motrin and the redness went away but returned again. She is not experiencing any other symptoms but I am concerned.
I can understand your concern for red patches on feet and knee. I can get from your query that your daughter has these lesion developed acutely which indicates towards the possibility of any contact allergy or might related to simple hives. In your daughter’s kind of cases I suggest to keep an observation over the affected area and if at all these increase in extent or size then can meet a dermatologist. For the time being period you can give an antihistamine such as loratadine or pheniramine or cetrizine for two times as per body weight. You can take further guidance from your treating dermatologist. Take care.
