What Causes Red Itchy Rash On Gluteal Cleft?

I have an rash that itches and is red and bumpy in my gluteal cleft. It also itches and stings intermittently. I notice some redness in the crease of my thighs as well. I first felt some burning a week ago when I was at the end of my menstrual cycle. Maybe its a reaction to the maxi pads? Im wondering what I can do to treat this?

Hello,
Thanks for the query,
You might have developed fungal infection.
The area of groin is very moist and is prone to develop these infections.
Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals.
Various antifungal powders like candid are availabe.
These can help reduce the moisture as well as control the infection.
Please dont use any steroid, it can worsen your condition
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
