What Causes Red Itchy Rash On Buttocks?
I have a rash on the lower fold of my butt cheeks, they are red and itch and bother me when I walk and sit. They aren t blisters just bumps and come and go but seem to have gotten worse recently, I did change from a cotton underwear to a different more stretchy material... Not sure if that will cause it? I also sweat a lot while at work and I m sitting down.. Any ideas?

Dear, this condition most probably points toward a fungal infection. And the organism involved may be Candida albicans.
Its better to keep dry your affected area and apply an antifungal cream.
1. Cream containing miconazole, twice-thrice application per day till the infection clears.
2. Orally, Fluconazole (150mg), twice a week for 4-6 wks will help to eradicate the fungal infection.
3. A oral anti-histaminic can help relieve itching.
